since we first heard about the Nintendo 3ds we have all been talking about it. Some went all the way to Japan to get it when it was released there in Febuary. Now since it came out we all know that this is a MUST HAVE portable game system of the year. Since I got it I really thought that the 3d wouldn't work but when I turned that 3d up the only thing that I could say was wow!!!!!!!!! Now since we are getting closer to summer, we are also getting ready for 3d videos,Netflix and the eshop. I really can't wait until they come out. If you guys don't have one then you should save up like I did because let me tell you guys something it is worth it. New games will becoming out that you won't believe so hurry up and buy one today. Trust me when I say that you will never ever go back to playing in normal 2d once you see that 3d image in your eyes.

This is an awesome system. The performence is just like the dsi but they have miis. The camera is awesome because you can take 3d photos ( sweet ). Best of all the 3ds games look 100% real. The price is just too expensive however this is a great system over all. I highly recomend it!

Amazing System

When you play the 3DS for the first time, you'll "get it". By "it" I mean how and why depth perception is the biggest step forward in gaming since 3D-esq visuals were introduced back in the mid-90's. When you play games like Pilotwings or Pro Evolution Soccer, you can literally see your avatar's position relative to his/her environment which, in those sorts of games, is very important to the gameplay; in Pilotwings, you can gage the distance between the next checkpoint ring and yourself, allowing you to adjust your flightpath accordingly without overreacting and losing precious momentum (especially in glider missions); in Pro Evolution Soccer, you can see where you are relative to opposing players, giving you a clearer picture as to how you should thread the needle. In other games, such as Street Fighter IV, the 3D doesn't come into play as often simply because of the design of the game. This isn't a bad thing, just note that not every game will be designed with 3D as one of its key features. The Circle Slider is Nintendo's portable solution to control in 3D space, as it effectively takes the place of a traditional analog stick. It has a firm, rubbery feel to it and snaps back into a neutral position when you release it. Overall, it feels great to play with it. The D-Pad, a staple for every Nintendo system, is located right beneath the Circle Slider; it feels as good as ever to the touch, but its placement can feel a bit odd if you're trying to use it exclusively as your control preference. The ABXY diamond design returns from the SNES/DS and I actually found the pressure sensitivity to be much better than past iterations of this design. Also making their return are the L and R shoulder buttons; they're a bit small for my taste but the tactile response to clicking the button is as good as ever (plus I have really big hands, so it might just be a problem for me). The Start, Select, and Home buttons aren't really buttons at all anymore; rather, they're labels that can be pressed which, quite honestly, I'm not a huge fan of. The Home button itself, however, is really cool; it pauses the action in any game, moves it to the background on the 3D screen, and allows you to navigate the 3DS' menu. Speaking of the 3DS menu, it is great; a hybrid between the DSi and Wii menus, it's a great entertainment hub and is easily navigated. Some of the built in software is pretty cool, especially the Augmented Reality application; using cards that come with the system, you can interact with 3D characters in the real world using the 3DS' cameras. Like the screen, you really have to try it for yourself before you can have a true appreciation for how amazing the experience is. Battery life is the one thing keeping the 3DS back (from a hardware standpoint, anyway) but, thankfully, Nintendo made it easy to change/upgrade your battery. I did this right away with the Nyko Charge Base and I got right around 8.5 hours of battery life with 3D enabled, full brightness, and Wi-Fi enabled. Once some better software hits (Zelda, Mario, Star Fox, etc), I think this system will really begin to sell as well as it ought to.
