EPIC!!!

This game has it all. It has the story, the character, and the music. This game was so epic having you think that golbez was the villan but turning out that it was Zeromus controlling him the whole time. It also had in my opinion one of the best lead characters of all time going from Dark knight to paladin. overall I say this was a great video game experiece.

Bam! Best Game
PostedFebruary 14, 2012
I've been a Final Fantasy fan since the origin of final fantasy. Cecil will always be my best character of all the games before chocobo appeared. This game brought the fundamental values of how a real RPG-game is not LARP. I'm not a nerd but, when it comes to RPG, I'm a geek. Final Fantasy IV is one of the best games right next to VII and X-2.

Are you freakin' kidding me?!

I'm a great admirer of the Final Fantasy series ever since I first played FF VII back in 1999. I have always come to expect something a little more from Square Enix when it comes to production values, after all they are one of the most prolific companies out there. But, this up-teenth remake of FF IV is simply a step backwards and not forwards. And in fact seems a shameless attempt at making more money off of something that was created to great effect many years before. Now, I grant you that having two additional games that have never been released in the US appear in this outing can seem tempting to purchase- that is what got me to drop the thirty dollars-,but it is not worth it. The game play and controls are your standard 2-D JRPG set- they can be finicky at times when it comes to dashing manually. The graphics, though vibrant, are nothing to write home about and seem a little stiff (It seems to me that Yoshitaka Amano, illustrator for much of FF I-VI, is losing his touch.) The little things will get you about this game too. Stuff like using potions to heal your character is so frustrating, i.e. once your character is fully heal to maximum HP, you can still burn through your stock of potions as if your player still needed the health when in fact he doesn't. This is incredibly frustrating in the earlier parts of the game if you haven't leveled up enough and are constantly finding yourself using potions instead of MP to recover. This is a simple error in the code for the game, but why would something like this get past the Q/A people at SqEn? Other things like the save screen defaulting to back to your status screen twice instead of once- o, yeah, and what about those great thought bubbles that would come up in the status screen as on the DS version? GONE!- its seems to me that SqEn ran this thing through development as quickly as they could to make the maximum amount of money possible with the least amount of labor. Don't get me wrong, most of these things that I'm knit picking are small things that most won't recognize if they haven't played this game in many years or if this is their first time. But, trust me on this, there is a much better version of this game out there (Nintendo DS), but you will have to reconcile yourself to the fact that it doesn't have the two additional games as the PSP version. The DS version is a beautiful and definitive version of the game. It has life and color like you cannot find in this mediocre outing. Do yourself a favor and buy a DS and FF IV now and play it. You will not be disappointed like I was with this thing.

I guess they're working up to it. so 7 be next in MUST be next in line!!!!? right? hopefull dreamer... ah 6! yes now here we go, we pick up another classic sept it looks alot nicer! 3versions of make a nice story as a final fantasy should have. a lil diffrent as it has a ATB system which makes it a lil difficult keeps ur guys up to par on the health bar. but over all another great classic Final Fantasy thats brought to a lil better potential that old 90's tech just didn't have.
