Good "OVERALL" Game

This game is much better than 2k10 or 2k11. But the only thing wrong is the AI. They will cheat you over and over again and it gets annoying. They will run out the shot clock, shoot, and score no matter what. The My Player is great, and i think that they should add a few things to it. This is a good game, but the only problem is the AI. Other than that, great graphics, great game, great soundtrack, great.

My Player Mode!

This game is great for all sports fans! It has so many different options to choose from, along with the options is great realistic game play. Yes, the time getting the shot down can be annoying, but once you have developed your shot, it is so much fun. Obviously the franchise mode is fun to play with your favorite team, but my player mode is great! You start out being drafted by a random team and develop into a star. The first year has its ups and downs, but once you get a feel for your player, the fun begins. I highly recommend this to all basketball and just fans of sporting games!
If you want an unrealistic, joke of a basketball "simulation" than this game is for you. I have tried to give this game so many chances, from downloading realistic sliders and changing settings, but no matter what, this game just turns out to be garbage. When you read other reviews saying it so real it's unbelievable, the only thing that's real is the presentation. If you want your game play to be real, than you're in for a very disappointing ride. Player's just stand around like morons waiting for the shot clock to go down then chuck it up at the last second. Not to mention the blatant lies on the back of the box, and I quote "Most Accurate NBA 2K Ever. More dynamic content than ever before." PLEASE! The NBA Season is now in the playoffs and they still don't have accurate rosters. Way to regress 2K Sports! NBA 2K10 was more up to date. Save yourself the frustration and $40 and don't purchase this game. You'll thank me later. Now I'm off to trade it in towards a game that was made by a developer who actually cares about it's product.

What else can you expect for a game with a storied history. NBA 2k12 not only continues the trend of exciting basketball games, but jaw dropping representations of real basketball. This game truly has something for everyone. Avid basketball fan? Check out the Association as it is more deep than ever with front office decisions, league news, and development of players over a span of games. Whether you love the big 3 in South Beach or demand a challenge by taking Jordan's job as owner of the Bobcats, the Association will leave you satisfied. Are you a fan of the old time days? Play games in the NBA's greatest section to relive classic games with some of the greatest players in NBA history accounting for 4 decades. Clearly receiving inspiration from the previous year's Jordan challenge, you will have to face(and beat) teams with deep rosters but without those awful unreachable achievements. But be warned, they are legends for a reason and unless you are familiar with the tendencies of the players from that era, you WILL have a hard time beating them. Are you a young fan who loves a certain player or has dreams of reaching the big stage yourself? Try the Creating a legend mode or the famed NBA My Player. The first is the mode that lets you set into the shoes of your favorite NBA star from D-Rose to J-Lin, you can turn them into an overnight sensation. If you want to be that star, My Player is more improved this year from better responses post game to more attributes given to your player before his career based on your peformance in the rookie showcase. You can even shift your team by answering certain teams with certain questions. Do you want to part of a winner but a potential bench-rider or do you want the spotlight on a team that may not be a Title contender, those are the decisions you decide. Those with Xbox live will also be treated to a deeper NBA today mode with updates daily. This game is addictive, so if you don't have it, please go and buy it today!
