Ear Force P11

The Ear Force P11 integrates premium stereo game sound with crystal-clear communication on the PlayStation Network (PSN) and PC/Mac to create an immersive audio environment for playing popular game titles. The P11 is two headsets in one - a stereo USB headset for chat sound and an amplified stereo headset for game sound. That means you can independently control chat and game sound from a single control box whether you're playing PS3 or PC games. Large, comfortable ear cups with a lightweight, rugged design provide the ultimate in comfort during extended game play. The P11 gives you a significant advantage because you can hear sound cues others can't, so you'll react faster and take them out before they take you out. If you're serious about your PS3 gaming, then get serious about the sound. Move up to the Ear Force P11 and become a better player while experiencing your games as they were meant to be heard.

This is a good headset as far as sound quality goes. Design and quality of the materials are bad. I have gone through 2 of these p11s because they just break. One ears sound goes out after a couple months of use. I take good care of my things esp things that (at the time) I spend $80 on. I will never buy the p11 again only because I've had problems with two of them. It's not like I'm throwing them around or anything, the sound just goes out in one ear. It has happened to one of my friends also. I mean the sound quality is good, but the wiring and the placement of the controls are not.

Don't listen to the people who complain about it being a bad headset, because it's not true. These are amazing headsets, they are loud, good mic ability, and aren't flimsy on your head. Although if you don't lke the idea of a wired headset get a wireless headset.

I bought these headphones a few days ago and I love them. The sound quality is amazing. I can hear every thing I wasn't able to hear when using only the T.V. speakers. The design is good, they're lightweight and pretty comfortable. The quality of the mic is also really good. The only thing I would've liked different would be maybe a little bit of better hardware. It's not a big deal as long as you take good care of them.

Ok I've been a PS3 owner for about 6 years now, and whenever I wanted to choose a headset, I wasn't necessarily looking at the absolute best headset, but this headset has all that. I play Black Ops II and I can hear everything, even in left or right. Not only that but this headset is reliable as it's lasted me a pretty long time now. So if you want a headset that's good on price, reliability, and is everything you already need, buy this one. Trust me, you'll love it.

Did you buy this product for yourself or someone else? For me
I bought this headset off ebay used for a 1/3 of the price, so I wasn't expecting it to be great. The ear foam on turtle beach headsets are all extremely comfortable, alot better than tritton and their fake leather. These are very comfortable. The headpad isn't as nice as others for the price but its still good quality. At first when I started playing with them on my ps3( note I had only had a ps3 for a few days)i wasn't getting any bass from one of the speakers. I thought it was my great ebay deal spitting back at me. Turned out my systems audio settings was just not set to use hdmi and stereo headset. They work amazingly now. All in all, the P11's make a great headset. Just make sure you have your ps3's audio settings set correctly for the best audio experience.

Did you buy this product for yourself or someone else? For me
I bought this headset for myself at college and it's wonderful. I was very skeptical about buying this because I knew nothing about quality headsets. The performance is great. It's nice and loud and you can control the sound on the headset. The only thing about the design I don't like is that you need AV cables hooked up to your PS3 and you plug the red and white cables to the headset plug. The instructions are easy, but it is very cluttered. If they dropped the price down to $50 it would be perfect. I don't understand what all the complaining is about. It is a very nice quality headset for a solid price. It doesn't break if you don't chunk it 30 feet across the room. If you're a person who is going to slam stuff when you loose or get mad then I wouldn't recommend any gaming headsets.

Did you buy this product for yourself or someone else? For me
First off, I'd like to say I never expect much from $60 headphones. I consider myself a bit of an audiophile. However, one day I used the X12 360 version of these that my friend has, and especially being on a student's budget, fell right in love with them. They sounded amazing and were cheap. I mainly got this headset for PC, but considering I have a PS3 and a not a 360 I asked the employee at my local gamestop how different the two headsets were. He then told me the P11 and X12 are exactly the same, just one's for the PS3 and one for 360.
I have never been more disappointed by a headset in my life. The P11 was nothing at all like the X12. It lacked bass sliders the X12 had, felt extremely cheaply made, and the wire had extreme amounts of unnecessary weight on them which hurt my head after only an hour or so after wearing them, and to top it off had the sound quality of $10 headphones. The one and only good point of these I can say, are the comfort on the earcups. They let your ears breathe, and that's about the only good point of these.
I highly recommend either the Afterglow headset or the turtlebeach X12 headset if you're going to get a gaming headset. If you're mainly getting it for the PS3, just go ahead and get Afterglow because these P11s are some of the worst headphones I have ever used and left me with extreme buyer's remorse.

cod games seem to be the only game that makes all my mics not have the worst sound ever. This is a good mic and I've had mine for about 2 years and there's not any damage. I've only had one freak out with it and if it happens every two years for 1 day I can handle that.

The main reason I'm reviewing this is to warn people that this headset has very fragile component. The plastic piece that connects the earphone to the headband will inevitably break. It has happened for me and several friends, usually after about 8 months of use. Aside from that, It works well enough, but the design makes it look cheap, and it is not worth its price. There are higher quality, less expensive brands out there. Do not buy this just because it's popular.

well they were really good while they worked. After four months the cord is coming out of the headset, the mic has stopped working and there is a really loud buzzing constantly. Good if you want a good headset for a cheap price but bad if you want a longer lasting headset. I recommend getting a wireless set.

These headsets are great, some of my friends have some ranging 150 and up but for the money these sound just as good. People claiming these are too small.....I wear a 7 7/8 hat and a XXL helmet and only have these adjusted half way and fit great!, unless people are trying to wear these over a motorcycle helmet they will fit fine. They are very comfortable for hours of play, you can fine tune noise and chat which is great! They have 13 ft of cable which is plenty far enough for me to sit back and see on a 55 inch tv! Don't let people who abuse there stuff stir you away, these are awesome

I think this headset works great. It gives a great quality sound and the mic also has good quality when talking to other friends. The only downside to them is that you need to know how to set them up but once you get past that, they're a really great thing to have (especially if you play FPS games.) Also, the value on this headset is pretty good. If you are a "hardcore gamer" this is definitely worth it.

This headset is amazing. I bought it and it was so comfortable! I could even hear every single footstep in all cods! I didn't even have to talk loud because it picked up all sounds. Now I don't have to worry about my brother telling me to shut up. But, the best part was that I could the game through the headset. I recomend this to any body who wants to buy these.

The headset sounded amazing and works really good. Although in about 6 to 7 months the audio cut off in the right ear then about another 3 months the left audio cut off. It's a good buy but really fragile along the wire the connects to the headset and the headset volume control box.

I'm a hardcore gamer, especially when it comes to Call of Duty and like most people know that if you're a serious COD player and competitive player you need a headset. The P11 is well-priced and a pretty great headset at $60 you can't beat this. There are some better headsets out there but you can't beat the price and quality of the P11s. My only problem was that they didn't seem that durable to me but then again I was using them to watch movies and I'd fall asleep with them on constantly and that may have led to the breaking of the first headset I had but I bought another 1 and they've been going strong since then so I'd recommend this product to everyone.
