This game is perfect for: kid gamers
This game was disappointing to me. I am a big old school Sonic fan, but I hate the new ones and this one is included. I thought it would be more like Sonic 4 Episode1, but it does not even have graphics good as an arcade game. The old sonic part of the game is so far off! To spin dash you hold X and don/t have to hold in down!? Old school sonic looks nothing like he did back in the days.The new sonic is pointles it seems as if you don't have contol of him. I was let down by this....Wheres sonic 4 episode 2?!

This game is perfect for: casual gamers
Sonic Generations doesn't anything new to the series but plays almost like the old sonic games (classic) and plays like modern sonic. Although Classic's doesn't have his speed like he usally does. For example, if you curl up into a ball on "U" slopes he loses his speed. Minus that it's a pretty fun game. New and Old fans will enjoy this.

This game is so Great.Classic Sonic in the New stages like roof top run and city Escape and modern Sonic in old stages like Sky sanctuary and the never forgettable Green Hill Zone. A lot of different stages even if your done theres still challenge gates hard mode and the statue room. Go into classics Sonic and Modern Sonic World in a top speed game but i hope your good at bosses because The Dr. Robotnic of the past and Dr.Robotnic of the future [Or Dr. Eggman] Has a bone to pick with both Sonics

this game brings me back to the classics as i am a classic & modern fan but it gives give you that modern feeling for the both classic and modern sonic,as the game brings you back to everything that was in the past for sonic the hedgehog fans. for the more classic gamers modern sonic will also be an okay feeling but mostly in the side scrolling sections,because you are pressing the forward button and not the right button. so this game gives you that reminicent feeling in the lasting apppeal....

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers
Sonic Generations is a truly amazing work of art for the sonic series and takes what was good about the past sonic game levels such as speed highway, city escape, and chemical plant and completely revamps them to perfection. You can play each area in 2D and 3D which makes for a thrilling and fantastic experience of zooming through loops, corkscrews, and straightaway paths, knocking bad guys aside, and just having an awesome time. However, the game does have some issues, which is why I've given it a nine, and those issues are mostly the cheap deaths that have plagued many recent sonic titles such as Sonic Colors. Even though there are still cheap deaths in the game, the platforming of this game has been greatly improved from the likes of Sonic Colors' platforming trash. If you hate fast paced games, do NOT buy sonic generations because fast is the main formula for this game. Of course, sonic was always known for being incredibly fast, but now the level of speed has been cranked to maximum overdrive and will seriously injure your brain if you are prone to photosensitive seizures. On the other hand, if you love fast paced games, like me, then this game is perfect for you. Be aware that some 2D platforming is involved even in the 3D levels, but blasting through green hill zone or chemical plant at breakneck speeds makes for an intense thrill ride with many loops and tricks. If you love Sonic, or even if you just love fast platforming, do yourself a favor and pick up Sonic generations.

I picked this game up today. This game is great, takes me back to the first time i played sonic on the Saga genesis system, The graphics are amazing and the music and sounds are amazing as well. I was skeptical about this game because SAGA has failed us in previous sonic games that were 3D, but this time I think they pulled it off. I havent played the game in its entirety. But so far this game is a keeper. I will be doing another review as i go along. Check out the trailer videos.

Even after you finish the story mode there is still a lot to do like get all the red rings,finish the missions and get s ranks on the bosses or stages that are very appealing.Even when your done with that there is online where you try to get the best time or distance.the amount of content is really nice with music,artwork,a secret trophy room.This game is an amazing addition with being able to play as classic and modern sonic and equip skills.10 out of 10

When they said back to the classics they meant it. It's exactly like a sonic game should be. Going extremely fast, you don't know where your going but you don't care because you just keep on going. Though the stages aren't exactly like they were who cares. It's really fun. And they did an awesome job with modern sonic. I'm more of a classic sonic guy but I actually enjoy playing as modern sonic. This game is seriously worth the money.

sonic has had MANY twists and turns, starting at unleashed. And colors blew up because of the voise change. So I'll give sonic one last shot. I've loved all of the games up to adventure 2 (battle). That's my favorite game of all time! Happily, i've dug around sonic generations and found out that there is a city escape cource in the game. Cannot wait to try that out! Give sonic one last chance. The chance of the generation! XD

This game is one of the best Sonic games out on next gen consoles. No, it IS the best Sonic on next gen consoles. This game takes you through old times and some new ones. The classic levels are very well made, and the modern levels are FAST (speed wise, not length wise) If you are a sonic fan this will satisfy you.
