When I got this as a gift for my birthday I really had no idea what the game was even about. So I got a bunch of guys and we all played in the toy field and we had tons of fun! Then later when i got to my house I was ready to see what else the game had! But sadly, there really isn't much for a single player. You see, the game already figures you're going to have multiple players that will join you. I don't know why it just does. Anyway the only thing that i found that was JUST for one player was the story. But was the story exciting? Nope. It was just a boring little world and every five seconds an enemy would jump up and you would have to do a challange. If only it actually knew what it was saying. The challenges were FILLED with glitches! They told me to do a "Star Throw" or something so i did and it said i FAILED! HOW ON EARTH DID I FAIL? I DID WHAT YOU WANTED ME TO DO! By then i was ready to turn off my Wii and come down here and writh this review. I bet you still wonder if you want to buy this game, right? Well, just like the game was thinking, if you have a few people with you that are ready to try out the toy field, then go for it. But remember you guys can still just rent the game.

This is one of my favorite games on Wii and This is the greatest prices ever i got it back when it was 49.99 and it was worth every penny. This is not like a Mario party mini game at all its a great sports game the stopy mode is great and it is well thought out overall this is a great game and the controls are very simple

Nintendega's Review for Mario Super Sluggers
PostedJuly 28, 2011
The original was OK but not as good as this one. The gameplay and graphics are amazing. The character selection is very vast. 42 playable characters!! First you choose your captain (DK, Diddy, Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Yoshi, Wario, Waluigi, Peach, Daisy, and Birdo) then you select the rest of your team (a team of 8, not including your captain) you can choose from Boos, King Boo, Koopas, Parakoopas, Goombas, Paragoombas, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Dixie Kong, Shy Guys, and even other captains, there are many more characters to choose from when you start out. You unlock more characters as you progress. I know what your asking: "Can you play with your Miis?". And the answer is yes!!! The feild selection is very cool also, when you start out you can select from: Mario Stadium (your basic Baseball stadium), Wario City, DK Jungle, Yoshi Park, and Peach Ice Garden. You will unlock more stadiums as you progress. The controlls are very fun and easy to get the hang of. There is a Tutorial mode that walks you through both playing with the Nunchuck and playing with just the Wiimote. If your a beginer, I would suggest you start out by playing with just the Wiimote. 20 bucks isn't a bad price either! This game is very fun for kids and adults, baseball fans and Mario fans. Pick it up.
