If you have any interest in playing the guitar...
PostedDecember 30, 2011
If you have any interest in playing the guitar then this game is a must have. Whether you are a beginner (like myself) or have experience with the guitar you will be very happy with this game. It's very well made, the software, learning curve, presentation, and even the cord are all very well thought out. The game knows how much you suck at playing the guitar and will adjust the dificulty accordingly and step it up as you learn. The cord that comes with the game is also great because it's fairly long and allows you to get comfortable either standing or sitting without having to be right next to the system. A+++ and I can see myself spending a lot of time with this in the future!

Finally a game using a real guitar
PostedDecember 29, 2011
Ordered this for myself. All I can say is wow! The game really teaches how to play the guitar. Although I own two guitars, I have been teaching myself to play for two years now unsuccessfully. Within a week of play of Rocksmith, I can tell that my ability has increased greatly (although I still have a ways to go before I can play in front of anyone). The best part is the game tells you what you need to improve, and contains mini games to help you - but you can also work on the techniques it teaches on your own outside of the game interface.
I would defiinitely recommend this to anyone that would like to learn guitar but does not want to take formal leassons.

A waste of money and time...
PostedDecember 27, 2011
This game is a waste of time and money for both beginner guitarists and advanced guitarists. For beginners buying a decent guitar, and this game, your up a little over 200 bucks which is ridiculous, for 50 dollars less you can buy a nice guitar at guitar center and an instructional DVD and be playing songs (of your choice) in just hours, rather than paying 80 bucks to learn lame songs you could just search on YouTube. For advanced players buying this game is just buying overly expensive sheet music. So I would recommend to learn guitar the real way, and saving your money
