AMAZING MUST BUY!!!!
PostedJuly 3, 2012
I don't really do reviews but this headset is so great that i need to spread the word about it. i bought this headset because i got tired of the usual pathetic Turtle Beaches(my last 3 broke in a matter of months). They are kind of expensive (99 bucks), but they are well worth it. They have amazing sound, i am able to hear BRAND NEW things in games i have been playing for months. oh and setup is EXTREMELY easy. THIS IS A MUST BUY!!!

HARD TO PLEASE
onJuly 5, 2012
WOW!!!! Maybe I'm not too hard to please but I just gotta say - GO SONY !!!! After a lot of searching I finally settled on these and after the clerk at Gamestop explained the power switch to me because I had problems with my original purchase and returned that set, well, now I'm sitting here at home "surfing" the web and enjoying music I downloaded onto my PS3. and although I am a maximum volume type I must admit I don't have these turned all the way up. BTW I'm 58 years old, :) and fall a little behind on technology at times, it's a great pleasure whenever I'm able to catch up at times like these. I'm on a "fixed income" but for me this was money well spent. Go Orlando at Gamestop/Wynnewood Village, Dallas TX !!!!

First let me say if you doubt buying this item don't read all the poor reviews because those ppl simply have NO CLUE WHAT THERE TALKING ABOUT. There are a ton of reviews in the 9 an 10 range which are a perfect answer. Anything below a 9 or 10 is just wrong. I bought these yesterday an there AMAZING the sound is Crisp Clear You can lower the sound or make it super loud. The bass is perfect an all its functions are very easy to use

Outstanding performance, BEST IN THE MARKET
PostedJune 26, 2012
PERFECT FOR EVERYTHING YOU WANT. Ignore the random bad reviews about this headset. It is everything you need for the PS3. The price is incredibly cheap considering the quality of the unit. Beats any Turtle Beach headset priced at double or more. Though it may not look the most exciting, the performance is impressive. From the first time I played COD with these headphones it changed my gaming experience completely. The voice communication has always been flawless and crystal clear for me. The volume features on the headset are great, being able to adjust the blutooth volume compared to the sound effects is awesome. So if i want to have a conversation with my buddy across the country i can turn down the game volume and focus on our conversation and still game perfectly. HIGHLY RECOMEND. Also i've used the headset to watch blurays while my girlfriend is sleeping and the 7.1 digital surround sound is amazing. SONY NAILED THIS HEADSET. The battery will give you hours of continuous gaming and the padding on the headset will make all that gaming very comfortable. Crank up the sound and you can hear every footstep of your opponet creeping around the corners. Also the fact that the ear pieces completely cover your ears does a great job at blocking out exterior sounds (though they are not noise canceling). You can have a lot going on around you an still be able to zone into your gaming. I dont know what else to say about Sony's PS3 headset besides i think they are the best value and highest quality on the market. BUY THEM!

Fantastic!

Went into gamestop looking for a new headset, I wanted something that would work with both my Ps3 and PC. I wasn't looking for anything wireless because I hate the idea of switching out batteries. I had a pair of Turtle Beach X41's in the past and while they were great I just didn't like the bulk (Or as mentioned, batteries).
I wanted something simple but still had great sound quality. Was looking at some of the wired headsets when these caught my eye. They didn't have a huge station that you had to plug into your system or PC, just a USB dongle. This was a huge plus, but additionally they have a built in rechargeable battery.
I did some quick research on my phone just to make sure that this headset wasn't a dud and decided to make my purchase.
Never been happier with a headset. If I wanna switch from PC to my Ps3 I just take 2 seconds and move the Dongle and it works instantly. Sound quality is great as well. Here are the Pro's and cons.
Pros:
-Good Battery Life
-Good sound qaulity
-Sleek design - Doesn't hurt ears after prolonged use
-Excellent Mic quality
-Good range (I get about 25-30 feet depending on if its through a wall or not)
-Minimum interference (Some crackling if I stand within 5 feet of my running microwave but thats about it)
-Durable (I've dropped them from about 4 feet probably 30 times since I got them months ago.)
Cons:
-The retractable feature on the mic makes it feel a bit loose and can be wiggled. Could be from dropping it numerous times. But it is a nice feature regardless.
-The buttons and volume adjusting sliders can be a bit confusing at first.
-The Mic Status that pops up on the Ps3 can sometimes lag the Ps3 a little bit, I'm sure this will be resolved in a patch.
-Doesn't work with my 360. Can't be too picky though.
