First off I would like to say, I am a huge Sony fan. I have a PS3 and Sony laptop and I love them both. Sony products are amazing. I've used other products from Sony. The only product that is not amazing is this headset. The sound quality is AMAZING!!! BUT!!! When I played online, NO ONE COULD HEAR ME!!! You can't change the voice volume in the accessory settings to be higher. It is stuck at 3. I called Sony and they couldn't help. What he had me try did not work. If you only care about the game sound, then this headset is perfect for you, but if you rely on talking to teammates or love talking to friends or new people then this headset is not for you. I have had the Tritton AX180 headset for a couple years now and it still works like brand new. People can hear me! This headset is only great for game sound and hearing other people. Talking to people so they can hear you is something that was not done well with this headset. Another bad thing with the headset is that you can hear yourself through the mic and it is loud. Yet other people can't hear you. It's amazing what updates can do to technology. DO NOT BUY THIS HEADSET IF YOU RELY ON TEAMMATES OR LIKE TALKING TO PEOPLE ONLINE!!!!!

I had a problem with the volume at first too but here is how to fix it. Before you turn on the headset go into your accessory settings and then change the volume of the mic. Turn on the mic and make sure it worked for you as well because that's what i did and all my friends say they can hear me a whole lot better!!

I purchased this headset used from GameStop used for a STAGGERING $39. A $100 headset someone traded in, and I got it for a runaway STEAL at $39! I absolutely love this headset, and while the turtle beach technology with the microphone feature is better (only difference is being able to hear yourself speak), the sound quality is absolutely incredible. At the price I paid, I could afford to keep my turtle beach X11 as well as this headset. So when I play solo games on my PC, I can listen to the glorious 7.1 goodness, and when I want to play online with my friends, I can swap to my turtle beach headset. Value 12/10, Performance 9/10, design 10/10.

It sounds great, I litterly hear someone sneaking up behind me in battlefield 3 and got them because of it. It only has one problem when the battery dies, and you still want to game with it, you'll need a longer charging chord for it. I have logged in a ton of time with it and it works great. It has prestine sound and mic quality. I have gone through my fair share of blutooth's and bad headsets and this one is the BEST one I've had. Definiletly buy.

My wife and kids picked this headset up for me for my birthday and I love them! The sound is great, they're comfortable to wear, and they have a pretty decent battery life. The headphones cup my ears nicely and the padded head piece makes them very comfortable on head (and I have a big head). Don't expect to hear too much of what's going on around with you these on, because they definitely drown out background noise. My only complaint when wearing these for long periods of time is that it makes my ears sweat, but any decent sized headset will do that, not a flaw of these, obviously. The wireless and on screen status display features are very nice as well. $100 for such great wireless headphones is a steal. You can also pop the wireless USB adapter into your PC, I use them for Skype VoIP calls all the time and they work great. I would recommend getting a USB extender cable for your wireless adapter for two reasons.. 1. it keeps the adapter from sticking out from the PS3 and risking it getting broke, and 2. it will save wear and tear on the actual adapter if you plug and unplug them a lot. Anyone who uses wireless peripherals knows that the wireless USB adapters wear out over time. All in all, 10/10 for these bad boys, I'll use them until they bite the dust and have no desire to get any other headphones.

Hey guys. I got this headset back around Christmas So my family didn't have to hear the games I play all the time. I decided to get this cause of the price and wireless ability, compared to the Turtle Beach headsets. The sound in this headset is the best! I hear everything excellently and clear. I mainly use this for Battlefield 3 and everything comes out clear and clean, I honestly can't say I've heard it have any issues with sounds. The mic is very nice and easy to collapse into the headset when not in use. I found with my friends when I use almost any other headset other than this, that my voice comes out with static and broken but when I use this no one ever has any issue hearing me and says it's very clear. On a full charge the headest lasts about 4 hours (I raid on SWTOR and raid for about 3-4 hours sometimes more). The Ear pieces are extremely comfortable and don't cause pressure on my ears or head even though I wear prescription classes and Turtle Beach caused pressure with my glasses, but the Sony Headset has no issues with the Earpieces, like i said I use it for hours without any issues. The mic also has a color indicator for if the mic is active or muted which makes it easy to tell which it's set too.
The only con I can come up with for this headset is the lack of adjust ability for the mic. It sits perfectly and comfortably away from my face but some people might find it too close or too far for them. I think it sits perfectly.
I very highly recommend this headphone for anyone who wants great sound, comfortable and easy to put on and take off without worrying about wires like other headsets with the abilities of this headset.
