I wanted to upgrade my old arcade w/ 250 gig and was going to get a 4 gig and convert the old hd . Im not even a gears fan ( yet ) but I figured what the heck . I also got a 40.00 gift card , I was going to buy the game 60.00 , and with the controllers and the extra space and all its a no brainer . in my mind I payed less than a 4 giger because I already sold my old one and Im very happy with my console . It looks cool , I really like a black and red scheme . ok bye , im going to go play dead island and gow3 . oh ,get this .

Hard drive overheats & the sounds are lost :(

I purchased this xbox because I am a major Gears of War fan. I bought everything that came out the night of the midnight release (xbox, lancer, strategy guide & epic edition game). I transferred all my things from my old xbox to this beauty. That night I took out the hard drive to put in my old system because the older one I use just for the kinect. When I was taking the hard drive out, I noticed that it was extremely hot. You literally could fry an egg on it. Well, I put that hard drive in my other xbox and it continued to stay hot. Then when I put the hard drive back into the Gears of War xbox and turned it on, I noticed that I no longer have the sounds (one of the reasons I purchased it). I called Microsoft and was on there with them all day long and still have no solutions on how to fix it. So, not even 4 days later and I have to send it in for a repair. It is a beautiful system, there are just so many things that are wrong.

Great system. Not only does it give you the largest hard drive you can get in a xbox console it comes with 2 gears of war controllers, and wired headset and a copy of gears 3. The was my upgrade from my 250gb elite and i could not be more pleased with it!!!!
