Why are people complaining about prices?
PostedMarch 17, 2012
Its an excellent elegant device, the versatile controls make you come back for even more. Its just has such a nice appeal. Piano black. As far as performance goes its amazing. I know 5 hours might not be much, but when you realize you've been playing for that long you realize that its worth it. And to everyone who is like its over-priced, its not look at the specs. A quad core CPU!!! A quad core CPU will run you more than $250 and that's all you get. This is truly the ultimate handheld. Only complaint is the memory card and no UMD passport in the US

Powerful system with great games
PostedMarch 16, 2012
I have been gaming since the 70's LED era & Atari 2600 days, and this is the first handheld Ive ever bought. Lately Ive found myself gaming more on my phone than my Xbox 360, so I thought it was time I go handheld... and what better way to do so, than with the latest, greatest addition to the handheld world, the PS Vita.
Truthfully, MLB 12 The Show is what sold me on it, as Ive been jonsing for a great baseball game for quite some time. And besides the lack of presentation... it has scratched that itch.
The system is light, portable and a dream to play. The seamless connection to the Playstation Store allows me to download great retail games, on the day of their release. Releasing me from the relentless task of changing out cartridges, when I want to play something new. I bought a 32GB card in order to house my purchases, without worry of running out of space anytime soon.
The visuals on most games are unbelievable for a handheld system. It really is a portable console. The options for gameplay are a nice touch, with most games giving you multiple options for control, via the touch screen, gyroscope or gamepad. Sound is good and even at the highest volume, doesnt crackle or pop.
Everything oozes of class and quality withe the Vita. It has a world class design that is both functional and sexy.
If I were to change one thing, it would be screen brightness. Even at its highest setting, I keep wanting to knock it up a couple of notches. The screen is beautiful, I just wish I could make it a little brighter. Other than that, I couldnt ask for more in a handheld. Having a portable system with the visuals and gameplay of my 360, is just amazing.
You wont go wrong buying one.

Awesome handheld!
PostedMarch 15, 2012
I just wanted to write a review about this handheld since nobody can really get a good idea of the system because of all the bias reviews that have been put on here. First off I purchased this last thursday and have not regretted it since. The graphics are ps3 like and the gameplay is by far the funnest ive played on a handheld. As far as the whole vita vs 3ds dispute goes... get want you want to play and not what peoples reviews tell you to get. I bought uncharted with the system and was blown away by the amazing textures and scenery of the game, and as far as gameplay goes i feel for a launch game the dev team covered every aspect and new feature the vita has to offer and gives you a good idea of whats to come. My only complaint about the system is the price... for you who are on a budget though its a great system there will most likey be a price drop in the next couple months so i highly recommend getting the system but it wouldnt be a bad idea to wait. Overall great purchase =)

Fantastic!

I brought the Vita yesterday, and let me tell you, it is worth the $300 you will pay. that's the only issue with the console, your gonna pay $250 for the console, then a game (I Brought Uncharted:Golden Abyss) and a memory card or starter pack. that's the only problem, and i think its worth it. the interface is great, the games are smaller than UMDs and even DS cards so there pretty small and easy to bring places. as of now there is only around 10-20 games available, but those game are great in every aspect.
