Dishonored is an immersive first-person action game that casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. Creatively eliminate your targets with the flexible combat system as you combine the numerous supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets at your disposal. Pursue your enemies under the cover of darkness or ruthlessly attack them head on with weapons drawn. Regardless of your actions, the outcome of each mission plays out based on the choices you make. Set in Dunwall, an industrial whaling city where strange technology and otherworldly mysticism coexist in the shadows. You are the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress. Framed for her murder, you become an infamous assassin, known only by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card. In a time of uncertainty, when the city is being besieged by plague and ruled by an oppressive government armed with neo-industrial technologies, dark forces conspire to bestow upon you abilities beyond those of any common man - but at what cost? The truth behind your betrayal is as murky as the waters surrounding the city, and the life you once had is gone forever.

Seeing the hand clenching a broken, mechanically advanced helmet on the cover of GameInformer caught my eye. Seeing that the game was designed by a creator of one of my favorites (Deus Ex) snagged my interests. Reading more about the incredible paths within the game sold me. As an enormous fan of open-world stealth games, Dishonored looks like its going to take the market up a few notches. Even with limited information, the content that they've released in their four-page article in GameInformer was more than enough to make grand promises. The "layering" of chaos throughout the world and levels is intriguing, and the fact that the player has a heavy hand at altering it makes me even more curious. If you have a passing interest in this game, look further; it's going to be a good one.

Corporate dependent pre-Order bonuses
Why is it we can't get a copy with all the bonuses instead of being forced to choose which "package" we want? Was this a corporate decision to maximize profits due to people being forced to buy multiple copies for 100% of the perks? It sure sounds like the greedy attempting to maximize profits through marketing schemes.
I am saddened to say that this amazing looking game will not make it into my library because I would never be able to fully enjoy it unless there was a copy available with all of the bonuses.
Sad day guys. Sad day...

This game looks incredible. From the game play to the supposed unlimited play styles and outcomes. Bethesda is taking open-world gaming in a new direction, and it looks yummy.
