The Playstation 3 slim is no doubt my favorite console, even though it has its fair share of problems. DESIGN: The slim design of the PS3 takes away many overheating problems that the fat PS3 had ( and the overheating problems that Xbox 360 still suffers from ) but sadly the new design eliminates the ability to play PS2 discs. The controller design hasn't changed much, the R2 and L2 buttons were replaced with trigger-like R2 and L2 buttons, the controllers are now ( obviously ) wireless, the controllers have a very sleek black finish and this can be a problem if your hands get sweaty when you play games, and they are quite expensive. But they are durable, i've had the same controllers for 5 years. PERFORMANCE: The performance of the PS3 is outstanding but the frame-rate is slightly worse when compared to the Xbox 360, but the PS3 graphics capability is slightly better than the Xbox but you will hardly notice a difference, the PS3 also has a Blu-Ray player built in so you can watch movies on it as well.The PS3 can also run at a crisp 1080p while xbox can only run 1080i. As far as the online between Xbox and PS3 the PS3's online is free and the Xbox's online costs $50 a year to play online but its a little faster and has facebook ( not like you need that anyways ). The Playstation online community is slightly slower than the Xbox's but i think that is the hosts or the games fault, not the system, and the PS3 community has a lot less whiny 9 year olds on it. GAMES: The PS3 offers a pretty extensive variety of exclusives for everyone like LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted ( highly recommended ), inFAMOUS ( also highly recommended ), Gran Turismo, Resistance i could go on forever. PSN also offers PS1 classics and PS2 classics, so you should never get bored with the games it has to offer. VALUE: The value of the PS3 is extremely high with free online play, Blu-Ray, Netflix, and many exclusives. I forgot to mention that the PS3 also has built in Wi-Fi so you won't have to buy a Wi-Fi adapter or anything like that. OVERALL: The PS3 is an amazing system and i recommend this console to anybody that wants variety in exclusives, a steady and free online community and anyone who likes to watch movies. I love my PlayStation slim. There are a lot of things you can do, and a wide variety of games you can play. I have the PlayStation move with my slim and boy is it great.

I love my PS3. I never get enough of it. Always play games when i'm bored or have my friends at home. The thing is it never gets too hot when i play for like 6/7 hours, and i really take good care of my PS3.
