Great Console, Slightly better than the 360

The PlayStation 3 is one of the best consoles of this generation. It provides blu-ray movie compatibiliy and a controller that is wireless but doesn't need batteries. I know that the controller thing doesn't sound like much, but believe me it is a huge deal for penny pinchers. If you buy an Xbox 360 with a wireless controller, then you could easily spend about $100-$200 a year on batteries, and this is completely eliminated by the PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 controllers. There are some bad things about this console though. Even though 160 gigs sounds like a lot, this is quickly taken over by saved games and any demos you download. Also, you can't background download updates, installation of games, and other things. This can be very frustrating when you want to play a new game you just got, but have to wait 10-15 minutes for updates. Also, unlike the Xbox, you can't have a party chat with other people. The PlayStation 3 also has a feature called PlayStation Plus, which, for a lower price than Xbox Live, you can get free games, themes, avatars, 60 minute full game trials, huge discounts, and gameplay on upcoming titles before anyone else. You can trust this review because I have both the Xbox and the PS3, so I am not another fanboy that wants to convince people which console is better. For online gaming, Xbox has a slight advantage due to the fact that you can party chat, and navigating the menus is so much simpler. If you are looking to watch movies/sports/television on your console, PS3 is the way to go. Honestly, either console is a great pick.

I had the 40 gb ps3 it suked it broke in like 3 months but........................ i got a new one 160 gb it works sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooodddddd omg forget xbox360 and get a ps3 where the graphics are amazing and the interent is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had my 40GB ps3 for over 4 years now, that is one of the first Generation PS3's and it has lasted this long. Think how long this one can last if you take care of it. Many people write bad reviews for this because they got the yellow light of doom in like 2 weeks or so, do you think that they took very good care of it? I had gotten mine brand new and it has stayed in shape for a long time, take good care of it and it will be something to stay with you for a while.

this console is very bad if you get playstation network this console is so easy to hack i got hacked 4 times the 4th time i sold it back to gamestop my friend got hacked 13 times no joke. COMPLETELY STUPID CONSOLE AND NETWORKING SYSTEM SONY IS REALLY BAD.
I know alot of people that get hacked on xbox. It's just something that happens when you play online

It Only Does Everything

The PS3 is the console for everyone. Not only can you play the best quality games on it, you can also watch Bluray Movies, DVDs and You can even listen to CDs on it. I was able to sell three devices when I got this. The only cons are 2 USB ports and it can run hot.
