Great Game But...
PostedDecember 21, 2011
This game truly deserves a 10/10 however, due to my computer it only runs art around 6 or 7 fps. This game is really a great game and is a ton of fun. If anybody has any tips on how to increase my fps (other than a new computer) please let me know.

Better Experience
onMarch 2, 2012
The one thing that helped me a LOT, was to turn the shadows completely off. That sent me from 3-5fps to 15-30.

Then give it a 10/10 not what you did cause your computer is no good. The only way to get better FPS assuming you have the settings right is get a new graphics card. By settings I mean make sure the drivers are up to date the refresh rate and the resolution are set to the recommended setting according to your graphics card.

The game is awesome, but the statue was a letdown.

First off, I want to say that the game itself is amazing. I played in the beta and early access, and I'm still having a blast with it. So far I love most of the goodies that come with the collector's edition, but I was very disappointed with the Darth Malgus statue. When I first opened it, it fell a couple of inches out of the styrofoam and Malgus's lightsaber arm broke off. That's understandable, it fell. But then I tried to put the lightsaber blade on the lightsaber, and the top half of the lightsaber and his thumb practically slid off into to two separate pieces. Most of the damage should be fixable with glue, but it felt like the statue (or at least it's arm) was made of foam. I really expected more solid construction. Anyway, on to the rest of the stuff. The galaxy map is pretty cool, and is made out of the same paper as posters, which is nice if you want to use it as such. The soundtrack is good (I'm actually listening to it right now.). I love the Star Wars lore and history, especially the Old Republic era, so the Journal of Gnost-Dural is awesome. I also like having the game on disc, because it takes forever to download the whole thing on a new computer. The box itself is also a nice cube shape, so storage - aka, stacking it in my closet - is easy. The in-game mouse droid is kinda cool, but it sorta looks like one of those robotic vacuums. I haven't actually gotten to use the STAP speeder yet (not high enough level), but I've seen screenshots, and it looks awesome. The rest of the stuff from the Digital Deluxe edition (Holodancer, training droid, flare gun, and I think there was something else) are pretty much in-game toys, but are fun to mess around with if you're bored or wanna show off that you have the Collector's Edition. The Collector's edition vendor sells (for Republic characters) the Republic Officer gearset (orange quality, lots of mod slots), a Hutt tracking probe, and extra customizations for Corso Riggs (smuggler companion) and T7 (Jedi Knight companion). Customizations are kinda useless for me though, because I play a Jedi Sage (Consular, for you people who haven't played yet.). The game itself is easy to get into, and is easy to learn, especially if you've played World of Warcraft (I have for two years). Questing as a group is fun, particularly because then you can do all of the heroic quests scattered around. I can't say what Flashpoints (Dungeons, for you WoW players) or Operations (Raids) are like, as I haven't done any high level PVE stuff yet. I also don't do PVP, so I can't comment on what that's like in SWTOR either. But from what I hear, both are very good, so don't let that the last couple sentences stop you. In fact, everything I've seen so far is excellent, and I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes MMOs, Star Wars, or Knights of the Old Republic.

No Midnight Realease
onDecember 19, 2011
No Midnight release for a game that that has over 50 reserves at one store alone? If this was Call of Duty or Halo they would have done a midnight release. I did call my store to verify and checked online. This is why I rarely reserve games at GameStop. Instead of waiting at a midnight release for this game while the servers are down tonight for maintenance, I have to wait with 50+ people at 10 AM while the servers are back on. Good job GameStop. BTW this game is AMAZING and is a MUST BUY!

Finally, a MMO with Immersion.

After being a regular beta goer for this game, I can say without a doubt that Bioware wants this game to be great. It will have a great launch but the features Bioware wants in that will come post-launch is really going to make this game.
The Story, the playstyle, the graphics, everything is great.
