This game is very fun. Yes, yoummay finish the game in a short amount of time but to master it (getting a s rank on every level)does take a while. You can also play with people online by seeing who can go through a level the fastest when the level as aditional traps. It also has what seems like 100's of missions. Missions can be short or take up a entire normal level. The downside is the should have been more levels, sometimes the controls goofed up but this did not happen that often, and 3d gameplay it is the 3DS (you get over these though)

It looks all right if you haven't played any of the ds sonic games.They are way too short.I literry beat the ds version of sonic colors in an hour.And Dimps messes up everything,even classic sonic's pyhics!Just play the console version.

This game is perfect for: kid gamers

I really really had a bad time with this game. My gosh, this is one of the worst platformers I've ever played, the level desing is just...awful! That should be enough to deter any gamer away from this game. Unless you are a Sonic the Hedgehog nut, you will realize this game is barely worth a rental, or 10 dollars at the most. There are already about 13, yes THIRTEEN games that are better that this game! Check on Metacritic.

I'll give you that there are some not so good level designs, but it's not horrible. The HD versions (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) are far more superior with very good level designs and multiple paths for each Sonic and higher replay-ability.

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

Sonic Generations was released for the PS3, X360, PC and 3DS. The Nintendo 3DS version is quite different from the Console/PC versions. There is a completely new set of levels, that does include Casino Night Zone from Sonic 2! There are 2 acts and a special stage for each stage. First off, there are only 7 stages when the console version has 9. There is no shortage of bosses, which this time includes the ever-so-difficult Big Arm and Biolizard. The graphics are okay. Nothing too special, but 3D hurts my eyes, so I recommend keeping it turned off. There is optional in-game help in this game. Except this time, it doesn't include OMOCHAO!!!!!! Finally a Sonic game where I don't have to tell some robot dude to shut up! The Gameplay is what you would imagine it to be. They use the same type of music as the console version, and this is complimented due to the 3DS having really good speakers. The classic levels are what you would expect them to be. Classic Sonic running in a 2D environment to get to the end of the level. The modern levels, aside from a few perspective changes, are exactly the same as the classic levels, except that Sonic now has the ability to boost. You are not reading this incorrectly. Classic Sonic now has a homing attack. Why?! That is screwed up completely. but the modern levels feel very much like Sonic Rush or Sonic 4, so if you liked those games, you will adore this one. There are also a total of 100 missions. but if you don't plan on completing them too, this is a very short game. The first few levels are ridiculously easy. I completed Green Hill act 1 in 45 seconds, and I wasn't rushing. But the casual gamer will notice a significant difficulty spike when they get to the fourth stage, which is Emerald Coast. If you want a good Sonic game that will keep you busy for hours on end, buy the console version instead. but if you don't have a PS3 or X360, and your computer doesn't have the right system requirements (like my laptop's processor is only 1.3 GHz, which is insufficient for most modern games) and you have a 3DS, definitely go for it! For $40, it's a hard deal to pass up.

I find it funny how everyone says that the game deserves a 6 but they give it a one to make the average score a 6. Why would you do that? It is a very good game.

This game is perfect for: kid gamers

I really love Sonic games for any gaming system but let's talk about this game. This game is not really good but I've seen worse. The levels are hard and complicated. You can only play as Sonic. The multiplayer is not really fun for starters. I really don't like this game so I recommend this to kid gamers who don't have any idea what they're doing.

3D Dash and Swirl!

I'm looking foward to the 3D version, because the visuals will look great with all the twisting and turns and planes in 3D.im also excited to see it in a new kind of version to where it has features like sliding, extra obstacles, and such that make it a fun fast paced sonic game for keeps [:, im looking foward to it and definitly want to play it, only thing i wished is that it came out on the weekend and with a bonus if you pre-order [:

3ds is cool, if your like some what dumb this device is nothing compared to the most anticipated ps vita call me a hater but the 3ds will always be second to the best. im sorry but im trading in 3ds when the ps vita comes out, i only got the thing to sustain my boredom which i have a hard time doing with it. its just not me i mean wheres the good in it the graphics are ill leave it at that.

You Say that but all I here is "Company Loyalty,Company Loyalty,Company Loyalty,Company Loyalty" Now don't get me wrong I love all systems the same its just I haven't enough money for all de systems. The PS Vita sounds interestong an I might get it even. but I don't march around bad mouthing the 3DS

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

The game was fun to play, but it doesn't suck you in. It apeals to both the older gen fans and newer gen fans. The game's main story is fun to play threw but it doesn't take that long. Afterwards, you can try to collect things using play coins or completeing missions. But other than the missions, there's nothing to do once you beat the game, besides get rank A's in the main story stages.

Seems like a really great game.Could possibly be the best Sonic game in history.We'll have to wait to see if that's true.The fact on this game being so great,it makes me want to buy an Xbox 360 just to get the console experience,as alas, I only have a 3DS to experience it with.Anyways,This game shall,should be,and will be the best Sonic game ever.Hopefully Sega makes it that way. ~Sonix
