A true bundle for a diehard Star Wars Fan
PostedMay 2, 2012
I highly rate this bundle because I've always liked the Star wars atmosphere. I currently have 4 xbox 360's and I rank this one at the top. I have a Halo Reach xbox since it came out, but I was eager to just take a look at what the new Star wars xbox will showcase as. Apart from the excellent design of the controller and xbox, the game was fun, I was not really interested in the dancing portion of the game, but overall this is the best game released for kinect to date. This bundle will draw the attention striaght to the artwork of the xbox that includes R2-D2 sounds and for the first time ever, includes the blue power up button. This bundle is truly the best gift for a diehard Star wars fan just like myself. I rate this a 10 out of 10.

Great Time For An Upgrade...
PostedApril 16, 2012
Someone did the math recently and broke down the price of each item on its own, in which added up to the asking price of $449.99... Still, the price can tend to keep people at bay.
However, if you took advantage of the 50 dollar addition trade-in (on top of the price they'll give you for your old system and it's condition) and you have an Xbox 360 pre-Jasper chipset, You can totally save loads of money... basically it came to $325 after the trade-in (never mind the cost of the original Xbox) My system was about four years old, and it was a matter of time before the red-ring took it over, so the R2 Xbox came out at the right time for me... and for 325 dollars (after the trade-in mind you), it's totally worth it!
First off, I am very impressed with the design of the Xbox, it does seem that they were thoughtful when keeping fans of Star Wars in mind. I will say that I was hoping for more R2 sounds (such as him being sad when you shut it down) and also, the sounds only work when you physically touch the eject and power buttons... though I'm sure the novelty will wear off eventually. Also, the 320 G HD is really nice! I do find myself with loads of DLC, so it helps to have all of that space. The controller is is totally rad, though if I had any say about it, I would have had the power button on it yellow as opposed to the standard green (the color of C-3PO's eyes) still, nice design and the printed "wires" are a nice touch.
I've never had a Kinect before, so I suppose the white one is nice... I guess. I've heard and read reviews from people frustrated with Kinect's movement issues, but I haven't had too many major issues, at least yet... more on that shortly.
The Star Wars game itself is actually not as bad as all that... I will say that the argument that it is for children, is not far from the truth. I'm pretty sure I have sucked more than the game thinks I did,and it just pushes me along.. The Pod-racing is pretty solid, though rather short (every "game" is short, mini-games they are called) The rancor game is fun in the same manner that Rampage is fun, but it gets old rather quickly. Jedi Destiny is so-so... but if you start to do poorly, the game seems to shove you along, as if "good enough." I lasted half a song on the dance-off before I started to feel like a total tool, and quit. The light saber duels, one of the main reasons people will buy this game, is perhaps one of the most frustrating things about this title. This is where the Kinect sort of falls short. Seems to not like quick movements and broad strokes, and also if you are really bad, you'll just be stuck until you win... sigh. Overall, if you like to jerk around on the Kinect and like Star Wars, I'd recommend it; if you are into games of skill, pass. The downloadble token that comes with the bundle... "a dancing C-3PO" yeesh!
The bundle also comes with Kinect Adventures, and it's amusing, but the controls seem tight and great for children and or your girlfriend.
Overall, it's totally worth it if you get a trade-in for your old system... a minor annoyance, it doesn't come with HDMI cables... the old Elite systems use to... eh, whateves. Aside from that, trade-in your nearly dead Xbox 360 for a sleek, unique, and soon to be rare Xbox that you last you awhile...
