The mic itself is not a throat mic, it is merely a normal mic that doesn't even sit on your throat, the neck piece is bulky, awkward, and really uncomfortable. The earpiece is just as bad, cheap, uncomfortable rubber earbuds make the whole product even worse. I would highly recommend never ever buying this mic, it does not work.

Surprisingly good deal

I was actually advised by my gamestop that this mic has a lot of static and many people didn't like it. The only static I've gotten comes from maxing out the volume, and almost every speaker on Earth has this same exact problem. But voice comes through clear enough.
My only real gripe has to do with the earbud. The boxart shows the earbud in the left ear. The GoW logo on the side of the mic also indicates that it's intended for your left ear. However, the earbud is clearly designed to fit into the right ear. Comfort wise, putting it in your right ear and dropping it straight down is the best placement. This does put the logo upside down, but it's only a cosmetic consideration. Most likely, there was a miscommunication between the art department and the actual engineering team, but the mic still has great functionality.
I often play with headphones, and this fits very comfortably underneath them with zero feedback or static. If you need a replacement headset, need something to fit under studio-style headphones, or just want a cool looking accessory, it's not a bad buy.

GOOD HEAD SET

I recomend this head set they are realy good I GOT THEM BECAUSE my dog chewed my first ones in half they are perfect if you are looking for a head set at a low price
