If you are choosing between BF3 and this, get this. I promise you wont be let down. Just get the Ultimate Edition, its cheaper then BF3 and comes with lots of stuff. VIP (Premium for BC2) is only 1200, and is a great deal. Plus, Ultimate comes with DLC, and 2 other BF games. Ok, onto gameplay values. Bad Company 2 has everything BF3 has-except jets and weapon customization and gigantic maps- but better. BF3? Can't destroy anything. BC2? Only thing you Can't destroy is the Lighthouse, Support beams (1/4 of buildings have them), and the ground. I just wish they made BF3 like BC2, I would enjoy it much more. So, just get Ultimate Edition for 3 times the gameplay, 19434546567 times the epicness.

And thats saying alot because BF3 is the best military FPS out now!!!! So how is it better than BF3 you ask? Because its really hard to find full servers on a consistant basis since the launch of BF3. Honestly, if there were more people playing BC2, id be all over it. BC2 has better: gun play (no spray and pray like COD or BF3), gun sounds, level of destruction, character balance, weapon balance, dialogue, map design. The only thing I would say that BF3 is better at is you do have more options with weapons customazation and the game does look more "next gen" but thats it. I'll take BC2 anyday. I say get the game but if this is gonna be your first time playing it online, I'm sorry but you missed the best online military experience ever when this game had a lot of ppl playing. The Battlefield games in general give you a TRUE battlefield experience with combining infantry, vehicle and teamwork action. Either way though, its still better than COD....I hope BC3 is more like BC2 with a few upgrades and less than BF3....
I completely agree with your review other than what you said about the multiplayer. I stayed up until 3 AM last night playing BC2 and never did i have a wait for finding a game. Maybe more people are playing now? I don't know, but it seems to me like lots of people are playing it.
