Excellent addition to the series

I got this game earlier today and haven't been able to put it down since, the new precision controls do take some getting used to, and of course there's some frustrating moments when getting the hang of a new item, but the game does an amazing job of easing you into things. The sword control is outright fun and a blast to play with. As it fades into becoming less of a 'wow cool' feature and more of a 'second nature' feature you'll find yourself pulling off combos easily that you once found tedious.
The game world is breath-taking, from the small details of the Skyloft city, to the new landscapes of the surface. You'll find yourself seeing bits of the world of Hyrule you know and love but in entirely new ways.
The item selection I've seen so far is a mixture of things you'd expect to find in any Zelda game, like a Slingshot or Bombs, and things you've never seen in any game before; like a remote-controlled flying Beetle that can be used to reach hard-to-grab items or survey the area (which is later upgraded to include even more features such as carrying items and dropping bombs on enemies).
The puzzles leave little to be desired, they are very well-executed and haven't proven to be annoyingly hard just yet, but I imagine there will be at least a couple of those tossed in here and there later on in the game. Having to traverse the large world for side-quest objectives would seem to be a tedious task as it was in Wind Waker, but the transportation between areas is both speedy and fun to do. A little while of flying your bird through the clouds and you'll find you can reach most locations rather quickly.
Overall, this is perhaps one of the best Zelda games I've ever played; and most definitely the best game to be released on the Wii to date (and most likely will be the last large title for the console). Having been a Zelda fan my entire life, playing every title in the series that I've gotten my hands on -- this ranks very high on my list of favorites.

This is by far the best Zelda game. It uses motion plus, so you control your sword. Get this if you're planning on getting a Zelda game.
