This headset would be great if: -It wasn't $300 (you can get a much superior product for $300) -It didnt break every two to three weeks (Had a terrible buzzing noise the first time, and the right ear cup completely blew apart on the 2nd and 3rd headsets I received) -The headset didnt have a piano gloss finish (While this makes the headset look really slick, it sumdges really easily, and scratches even when using a microfiber cloth to clear the smudges, etc)
That being said, the Warhead 7.1 would be a great headset minus everything before mentioned. The sound is great (tho I didnt find much difference between this unit and the AX 720's I owned a while back). The comfort of this headset is 3 out of 5 for me because the top headband is made out of a rubber like material instead of memory foam like many other similar headsets. Setup is a flash as all you need to do is plug it in, pair with your 360 and you're off and running. Overall, for $300 retail or wherever else you may find it, this headset is a pass to me. I actually received nothing but problems from MadCatz customer support when trying to call and get a refund (basically just didnt want the headset and didnt want to have to wait for replacements constantly). They said because its been after 30 days of purchase that I couldnt return it. Well, let me tell you, the pawn shop took it just fine and I got myself a new set of Steelseries Spectrum 7xb's and they are far superior on sound and comfort and have a far superior build quality.
DONT WASTE YOU MONEY ON A HEADSET THAT ISNT EVEN GOING TO WORK ON THE NEXT GEN CONSOLES! ITS A 360 ONLY CHAT CAPABLE HEADSET! BUYER BEWARE

KnuckleHead035 when the headset starts making a buzzing noise or one of the ears goes out, all you need to do is turn it off and unplug the base and plug it back in. I've had those problems too and they fix right away.

A top notch piece of equipment

Coming right out, I got the headset at $200 and they are very match up to the price, as they should be. They produce excellent sounds in-game and through voice chat. Experiences with other tritton headsets have had this buzzing effect and this one doesn't have it. Very clear. The battery last for a very long time and charge quicker than they last. I was actually very surprised. I was also surprised by the feel of the headset. It looks bulky but doesn't feel like much. I am very satisfied. A buyer would definitely get their money's worth if they paid for them

Top Notch Headset!

Upgraded from the earforce x42's to these. Sound Quality is superb. So nice not being tethered to the controller anymore! Very handy having independent battery level indicators, 2 charge packs and music volume control all built in. My only complaint is that it doesn't relay the dolby digital signal - so I'm going to have to get an optical splitter for those times when I'm not wearing the headset and still want surround sound.

best wireless headset out there period sound is awesome !!! chat works great altough you need to turn down chat on the console or you will blow your head off and hit will hum a little, tight fit around ears could have better padding on top of head, of course there exspensive but there worth it if you want true wireless astro a50 were ok but the mic was a probelm sound was ok but these trittons are way better two batteries so you never skip a beat!!!
