This is a much better way to get the racing experience on the xbox 360. The only negative comment I have about is that something broke with the "ratchet" action that gives the feel of the car your driving. I need to send it back to madcatz to have it repaired.

Review 2 for Wireless Force Feedback Wheel for Xbox 360
FINALLY... Xbox 360 has a GREAT Wheel...!!!

I just received the Mad Catz Wireless Forced Feedback Xbox 360 Wheel Nov 14th. I was very impressed with the heavy metal use and quality of this wheel. The Paddle Shifters, Wheel Spokes and the Stick Shifter are made with metal. All of the buttons have a nice tight fit with no wiggle. The wheel is rubber wrapped at the 3 and 9 o'clock grip positions. When driving all of the controls are well placed. It even has the bumper buttons hidden on back of the wheel infront of the paddles. The Pedals are firm and well placed. I tested it with my Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, I don't have Forza 4 yet. (The wheel was made with Forza 4 in mind.) The game is completely controlled from the wheel, no other controller needed. The driving was INCREDIBLE. The wheel didn't fight with you, but rolled with the track. If you were on a bank it let you know, The feel through my hands was nearly what I get when driving in my truck. You can feel cracks, bumps, curbs, dirt, paved, and any objects that happen to be infront of you. The wheel has been Future Proofed by including a Mini USB Port on the back. (It is under a screwed in panel) So no worries about spending $224 on a Wheel that will be out dated soon. The ability to update the firmware takes care of any new games down the road. Yes I did say $224. I got mine through the manufacturer Mad Catz with a 10% discount and no Shipping cost during a Halloween discount. Anyways, I HIGHLY Recomend this wheel for anyone who feels the need for speed, and wants some realism to boot. Well worth it. After driving a few runs, I felt as if I was just at the gym doing an hour of workout. So it is a good workout also. Hope this review could help you out on making a decission. Driving is alot better when you have feedback, and this wheel could be put up against a $600 Fanatech setup, and hold its own for a lot less money.

$250!? Really!?

No way I would buy a wheel that is this expensive and half of what the competition offers. Fanatec wheel is $350 with high end pedals and shifter...yes a shifter because the wheel and pedals are set up for a clutch..... At this price your better off buying just the Fanatec CTR wheel at $250 and saving your pennies for some nice pedals.

Not worth the price!

The wheel has only 200 degrees of rotation, Logitech 900 degrees
The hand shifter is almost behind the wheel, Logitech is beside the wheel
The pedals are almost paralell to the floor, Logitech more like a real car setup
Mad catz $250 Logitech $130
I know the Logitech is for PlayStation but the Xbox community needs to stand up and tell Microsoft it sucks paying twice the price for only half of the quality.
I want a wheel in the same class and price for my Xbox 360 as the Logitech Driving Force GT before I give Microsoft and its game coders any money for a driving game. Till then rock on PlayStation in the driving simulator market.

I bought this wheel because short of a Fanatec, this was the only FF wheel for Xbox360. I was worried because MadCatz quality has always been questionable in my opinion. When I got this, it was heavy and felt solid. Unfortunately, my earlier fears were true. The right hand shifter would downshift twice after just a couple days of use. And the shift lever, which seems nice with a metal grip, has a plastic post that snaps into the base. Duh. It snapped off shortly afterwards. So after a month of *light* useage I have a $250 piece of crud that I can't return because it's now damaged. So don't bother with this wheel, it's a waste of money. Save up a bit longer and get a Fanatec. Madcatz has always made junk, and they still are.

I've only used the wheel a couple weeks so far, but I find the control and force feedback in Forza to be a good deal better than I was expecting from this wheel. The first day out I was turning the best lap times and wining much easier against maxed AI drivers than I had previously ever managed.
My only major complaint so far is the cheap and poorly designed pedals. The pedals are to far apart to work them with one foot so get ready to learn left foot breaking. Also I had to mount them in a wood frame with sticky rubber padding to get them set to a usable angle and to stay put under normal use.

The wheel is very awesome, hardly any flaws, however I think i need to tone down the vibration because its overpowering. The pedals could be closer, but I just two pedal it. You gotta set up your own special configuration for a good way two use the pedals. Backwards and forwards compatable, so its a great toy to take care of and hold on to.
