Performed a check of the IMEI from Check MEND and it returned that the phone is currently blocked by a GSM carrier (it isn't specific which one). AT&T SIM (or Straight Talk) works fine in the phone, but I don't want a phone that is currently blocked on a network (whether its in the U.S or abroad)... So this one is going back and I'll try again.

I got this phone in great shape, just a few hairline scratches. I called AT&T to check the IMEI and it cleared. So after purchasing an unlock from eBay I restored from iTunes it became unlocked. Now this is a great companion when traveling abroad. Absolute hotness!

I reciently bought it and it is great, no scratches or anything, it looks brand new, I was able to unblocked it throught at&t´s service by sending my phone´s IMEI and now I´m using it in Mexico without any troubles. I highly recommend the purchase. Thanks!

AT&T Contract still required?

Did you still need to sign a contract with AT&T to activate the phone? I want to unlock it but their site says you must already have an Account with them.

I must say I was very skeptical about buying this phone from Gamestop because I did not want there to be any scratches or blemishes on it.... when I received it in the mail I was greatly surprised to see NO visible scratches there was only one I could find and I had to look very hard for it, great phone, Gamestop has the best price!

This was the best device i have ever given to my sister. But, the device didn't seem to be refurbished, because it had many scratches on the back glass. But, it is a great price for an iPhone 4. Can't want until i get money to order mine.
