Don't worry

AS I'm sure everyone is worried that they will lose certain aspects but this is not true. It would seem to me that they would do it like every other mmo-rpg game and split up cooperative mode via story-line and multiplayer mode via competitive. Only they will do it better than ever.

From the information I know I give it 8/10 for now

From what I have read and watched about ESO, I must say it looks rather magnificent. One thing I thought was a bit crazy was the release date. I knew it was coming out in 2013 but jesus, might as well say it's coming out in 2014. Though, Gamestop may have gotten the release date wrong, they have done this before on other games. Another thing I thought was ridiculous was the price. 60 dollars for an mmorpg? I was 90% sure this wasn't going to be free, but was not expecting to pay 60 dollars. But in the end, I will most likely pay $60 for it because i'm a huge fan of The Elder Scrolls and mmorpg's and i'm quite excited to see what they have in store for us

Great just what we need another MMORPG....

I do not understand you Bethesda. Why give in to the endless grinding and the horde like killing and trash talking that comes with PVP to make an MMORPG? Why not just make an Elder Scrolls VI and have the same features you described here without all the Preteen kids to deal with online? Why Bethesda Why? There are too many online games out there and the only popular one is WOW and I doubt you will dethrone them. Too many of these games saturate the market. Good luck.

One Year Wait

My say in this is that, wait for the release. Why? I have seen a few game ending up canceled around the middle of the making. Big example is fallout online. Just wait and see what happens, get more information about the game and see where they are at with it. Once it gets out wait for a week to see what other people have to say for it. It will also give them time to find and fix bugs with the game. Also who knows, after a year you might not be into elder scrolls anymore.

Cinematic trailers can make the lamest garbage look good. Show some actual in-game video, Bethesda. What are you hiding?

It says it will be the same as the game except it is more about pvp then anything else. So bascially you are paying for Elder Scrolls pvp.

A 50/50 to me

I love the Elder Scroll Series but I'm not a huge fan on MMO games. This one is in the middle to me for purchasing because The Elder Scroll Series was my favorite Single-Player games. So it's in the middle for me, maybe if one of my friends let's me play a copy when he gets one I'll get a better idea on either "getting this game" or "no, not worth my money."

This game is going to be fun i have no doubts about that, but this game is going to have alot of issues at first so dont expect it to be perfect. Alot depends on the first year for mmo's....

One of my first thoughts when playing Skyrim was..."This game could definately FINALLY be a WoW killer!". When I heard that an online Elder Scolls was in the works, I almost choked and thought its too goode to be true. I am such a fan and CANT WAIT! this will be an awesome game!. Such talent is behind the wheel making this MMO. sooo goood :)

Disappointed

I really can't believe that they are selling out their main gaming franchise to something like this. Don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE MMORPG fan, but when I think of the elder scrolls, MMO doesn't come to mind. This is a franchise that is supposed to be single player and follow a unique story of it's own. I loved morrowind, I thought oblivion was pretty good and the same for skyrim but now I think they are just selling out. I will 100% not be getting this. I'll be playing something worth my time like Tera or Guild wars 2.

more then likely not, one because it takes time and money to transfer the data to be able to run on mac (you actually have to work with apple or be trained by apple to know how to work with their software, not to mention its alot more expensive to program on macs) and there's also the fact that looking at this game most macs wont be able to run it, I know people are going to get mad at that comment but macs aren't built to play games or have very much strain on them like PCs are. All in all I highly doubt it simply because there is a very small population of Apple lovers that are actually gamers and those that are have Windows on Bootcamp to run games, which if your a die hard Apple fan I would recommend, but wait for Windows 8 to buy a OS because this will be for Windows 8, this would mean they would spend alot more money and have nothing to show for it this is the reason most games don't go on Apple

I Think I Can Trust Bethesda With Coming Out With Good Games, The Games I Know Them For Is The Elder Scrolls Series, Morrowind And Oblivion And Lastly One Of My All Time Favorites, Skyrim. The Next In The Series Looks Great And I Think I Can Trust Them With Making This Game Amazing. I Read Up On This Game And Truly It Looks Like Something Else. (In A Good Way)

Bethesda isn't actually on this project there focusing on Skyrim DLC and Fallout 4 (but they are funding and trademarking it), 'Zenimax Online',a compleatly new team, are the ones overseeing this and the last time I read about the team none of them had ever worked on a Elder Scrolls game before this one

Can't Wait

I can't wait for the release of this game. Skyrim and Oblivion were amazing both game of the year and also Morrowind got the award and also fallout 3 so from how good the company is you would expect that this game is going to be amazing. But the only thing that I'm mad about the release date during school and it's gonna take it is going to take forever until it is released cause they just need to fix some bugs and they're done with the game. And for anyone who is not gonna get this game because the graphics are worse than Skyrim should get it still because it is gonna have more quests and fit all of Tamriel and have 200 players in one PvP match so to fit all of that and have that kind of graphics and not lag like crazy is amazing. I'm so excited and absolutely cannot wait.

What we've always wanted, or no?

Finally!! A multiplayer Elder Scrolls game!! Just what we've always wanted! or is it? For years fan's have desired a multiplayer experiance in the elder scrolls series, but imagine what it means that it is an mmorpg and not just a two-player game? Will it take away from some of the game that we know and love? We won't be able to just walk around and slaughter entire villages anymore just for the fun of it. The action's that we can currently do in the game may not be the same in a mmo. Think deeply about it. I'm sure you can all name something in the game that would be impossible in an mmorpg, The ability to kill NPC's being my example. It will be an amazing game im sure. . . Just probably not the same as the elder scroll's that i know and love.

i have been following this for awhile now, they have actually implemented first person view for the game and it will be in the game at launch...with that said..it would be hard to play any MMO game like this in first person, you have to be able to see what is behind you and beside you at all times..especially in the PVP part of the game.

Skyrim Online

New's Flash! No you will not be able to use your character from your save file because more than likely 90% of them did the " ~ " to level's, item's, gold etc.. so no you won't be able to use your character from your game safe because that will be cheating. the game will also have a hosted server so you will not be able to upload your save either way. Baka! bleeh :p

Lets make it realistic and scary too.

It would be interesting to play inside a magical realm where anybody (internet wise) could be -and the outcome of the encounter is not guaranteed. Lets be real, strangers would populate the game and the player coming across a leveled up one would be deadly -or would it?
Lets create a game that is truly like real-walking down a woody path where werewolves and vampires or ANYTHING could be and controlled by another player or perhaps be bot controlled and battled by both-with the difficulty being commensurate with the players combined levels. The idea of the game should be that of exploration, surprise and wonder-a game that is played like single player yet is mixed with other online players that vex outcomes and alter the settings of the game...like real life. The game size should be HUGE like the real world and travel should more real as battles and damages incurred to the player should take real time to heal. MAKE IT REALISTIC!. Make the game so traveling around actually takes time and not warping around the map at light speed. The idea should be to make a world that is as real as possible. Being old school, I am asking a lot I know, but, I would personally like to play a game that I could delve into and invest time into a character (customizable) and explore a world that is truly fun to walk around in and explore and destroy things in. Don't forget to mix excellent sound and graphics with this virtual world where the game physics are realistic and wind actually effects the flight of an arrow-so to speak.
